Preserving and protecting the breed standard is our main goal
Keith and I strive to send every puppy to a home where they will be loved and cared for. We have had dogs our entire lives and know what it takes to give excellent care to these amazing animals. With around the clock care and numerous trips to the vet, we are devoted to making sure every dog and puppy in our care is happy and healthy.
All of our dogs are AKC registered and cared for by our amazing veterinarian/medical director Dr. Tod Beckett at VCA. He is on our speed dial and available whenever we need him. He is a wealth of knowledge and gives us the support we need to run a successful program. His staff has been especially kind and are always excited to care for our new puppies.
For the past 35 years, Keith's mom Cathy Talik has been breeding Miniature Schnauzers. She fell in love with them and saw a need for a well bred dog. Keith has been learning along side his mom and gathering information from her. About 20 years in she decided she wanted one of her children to carry on her legacy and since Keith and I have a small property in the country and a huge love for dogs it just seemed like the right fit for us. We began our own breeding program and kennel in 2010. As of September 2023 Cathy has decided she is going to retire. She has taught us everything she knows about breeding and will continue to stand by our side as we continue to carry on what she started 30 years ago.
I have been grooming dogs for over 16 years professionally. It's possible I've groomed every breed of dog imaginable. Through those experiences, I've developed a special love for schnauzers. The clean lines of their square build & back structure, to a sharp beard & eye brow, these are the things that make them look so sharp and distinguished. It takes a kind heart and lot of patience to be a breeder/groomer. Every day is a new adventure in learning and I'm always up for the challenge.
Being a breeder can be tough & strenuous but it is something we are very passionate about. We do this because we love this breed and want it around for a very long time. Many breeders are mixing and creating new breeds every day, but we are holding true to our values and knowledge of this breed and will never crossbreed or breed for any colors not represented by the AKC.
